UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held talks in Abu Dhabi  on Thursday, focusing on bilateral cooperation and regional developments, according to official statements. The meeting took place during President El-Sisi’s visit to the United Arab Emirates. Discussions addressed ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in economic and development sectors, with both sides highlighting the importance of advancing ties to serve mutual interests and benefit their populations.

Sheikh Mohamed and El Sisi reaffirm UAE Egypt ties and commitment to regional peace.

At the start of the meeting, the two leaders exchanged Eid Al-Fitr greetings, expressing wishes for continued prosperity and stability for their countries and for peace across the Arab and Islamic worlds. The talks also covered developments in the Middle East amid ongoing military escalation and their implications for regional and international security. President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law.

Abu Dhabi meeting reflects strong diplomatic alignment

He affirmed Egypt’s solidarity with the UAE and its support for measures aimed at safeguarding security, territorial integrity, and civilian safety, as outlined in the official statement. Both leaders emphasized the importance of de-escalation and called for an immediate halt to tensions.

They stressed the need to pursue dialogue and diplomatic solutions to resolve disputes and prevent further instability in the region. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and other senior officials. – By Content Syndication Services.
